Biography
In 2001, I graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in English/Religious Studies. Next, I attended law school at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, earning my J.D. in 2004 and graduating in the top 30% of my class.
After law school, I moved to Augusta to accept a judicial clerkship with the Honorable W. Leon Barfield, United States Magistrate Judge, from 2004-2006. After completing my clerkship with Judge Barfield, I clerked for the Honorable Dudley H. Bowen, Jr., United States District Judge (2006-2007), and the Honorable Lisa Godbey Wood, United States District Judge (2007). Upon completing my clerkships, my wife and I decided to stay in Augusta, and I joined Fulcher Hagler LLP as an associate in September 2007.
I have a varied litigation practice in both federal and state courts. I have successfully represented individuals, private corporations, and government entities in a wide range of matters, including employment discrimination suits, civil rights cases, Federal Employers Liability Act cases, and professional malpractice suits. As a member of the firm’s railroad litigation team, I routinely assist in the defense of suits brought against Class I railroads.
