I have been practicing law for nearly 30 years, primarily handling workers comp and personal injury cases for injured persons.  I am licensed in State and Federal Courts in South Carolina and Maryland.

During my last year in law school, and immediately afterwards, I served as law clerk fo the Chief Administrative Judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit in Maryland, before moving to South Carolina.  For the past 19 years, I have served as the South Carolina Workers Compensation Panel member for the Professional Hockey Players Association, representing hockey players in South Carolina in injury claims. I have served as an adjunct law professor at both the Citadel and Charleston School of Law, teaching legal research and writing, oral advocacy and a course on Law and Society, which I developed.  For many years, I  served as counsel by appointment from the State for people involuntarily committed at their initial hearings.

After running my own firm for 10 years in Charleston, I joined the Joye Law Firm to open and manage their first branch office in Myrtle Beach, where I am currently the managing attorney.  I have handled cases throughout South Carolina, focusing primarily on workers comp and injury cases.  In 2015, I was elected to the House of Delegates of the South Carolina Bar, for the Fifteenth Circuit. In 2017, I was elected to the Board of Governors of the South Carolina Bar, Region III for a three year term. 

I still enjoy the challenges and rewards of the practice of law and look forward to many more years of helping those injured at work or by the negligence of others.
