Biography
Jack is Certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Call for free consultation.
By the time Jack Sanders received his law license, he had already handled cases at trial and on appeal for the City of Chicago under a law in Illinois that allowed law students limited license to practice law. In the crowded courtrooms beneath the historic Daley Center, he handled up to 600 criminal cases a day and hundreds of trials each week as a prosecutor for the city, quickly learning trial and settlement strategies on his feet in court.
After passing both the New Jersey and Illinois bar exams at the same time, Jack received the designation of Certified Civil Trial Attorney from the New Jersey Supreme Court within the minimum possible time for designation, having demonstrated in only five years of practice the necessary trial experience, continuing legal education, reputation as demonstrated by submission of a list of judges and attorneys that could attest to his legal skill, and passage of an examination.
Jack used his skills to provide intelligent, aggressive advocacy to victims who suffered due to the actions of corporations, the police and other governmental agencies, and insurance companies. He values the right to individual freedoms, the right to dignity and just compensation for injuries.
Jack’s commitment as an advocate for justice expands beyond the courtroom. In 2009 he began speaking at events and in media about equal rights and the State of New Jersey’s anti-discrimination laws and sponsoring local civil rights awareness events.
During 2010, Jack's advocacy included monthly appearances on Hear New Brunswick Radio, including updates concerning the status of marriage equality in New Jersey and nationwide. Most recently, in 2014, following the death of unarmed teenaged shooting victim Michael Brown by a police officer, Jack traveled to Missouri to provide jail support to illegally arrested protesters, walking directly into the tense Ferguson Police Department while protests were taking place outside.
