John H. Rion is a member of a three-generation law firm in Dayton, Ohio. He is board certified in the field of criminal law, and he has been continuously listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 1983. He is the former president of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

He has served for two terms as chairman of the Criminal Justice Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Rion has tried more than 300 felony jury trials, including capital cases. He frequently lectures at seminars for lawyers on the subject of constitutional law. Mr. Rion is a Fellow in, and on the Board of Governors of, the American Board of Criminal Lawyers. Mr. Rion has practiced in twenty-eight (28) states.
