After graduating from Harvard College and Boston College Law School, I have practiced law since 1974 - over 40 years. Since 1994 I have focused on Social Security Disability law. We have handled over 12,000 Social Security Disability cases in Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.  

When my father developed severe rheumatoid arthritis he was forced to discontinue his career as a civil engineer, even while still trying to pay for college tuitions. That illness and its affect on my Dad's life and our family opened a window for me - showing clearly the day to day hardships of loss of income, the daily pain from the illness itself, and loss of prestige and satisfaction that goes along with no longer being able to work at the profession or job that you are trained to do. When we are able to get a client the Social Security benefits they deserve, we know it does not put them back to where they were, but it provides monthly income, usually with back pay, and health insurance. My wife Patti and I have been raising a large family - we have eleven children. All eleven of the children have graduated from college as of May, 2017. Six of the children are married. We have one child in Houston, one child in San Francisco, one in Sacramento, one in Minnesotta, one in New York City, one in London, England, one in Rome, Italy. So far, we have 24 grandchildren. Patti and I are involved with Family Enrichment of Massachusetts, offering case study method courses to married couples who wish to improve their skills as parents or as spouses, with an acheivable goal to improve and enrich family life.
