I've been representing people (not large companies) my entire career.  No single client is responsible for more than 10% of my income.  I become my clients' "family lawyer" because I care about them and their problems.  My clients trust me in doing what's best for them.  That's why many of my clients are either repeat clients or are referred to me from present and former clients. 

I practice state-wide. I try cases in state courts, and primarily in Chancery Court.  I am often appointed by the Chancery Court to serve as Guardian ad Litem in cases involving abuse or neglect of children.  I co-Authored the book Divorce in Mississippi.  It is written for people - NOT lawyers - to give real people real answers to real problems and to de-mystify the divorce process.  It is available for purchase by contacting my office.  My practice primarily includes Family Law (divorce, custody, adoption, termination of parental rights, child support), Estate Planning, and Probate and Administration of Estates.  

I grew up in a small town in North Mississippi with small-town values instilled in me.  I treat others with respect.  Clients pay me their hard-earned money to represent them and to assess objectively the strengths and weaknesses of their cases.  I advise clients according to the facts and the law.  In short, I tell clients the truth about their case so that my clients can make an informed decision about their case.  I DON'T tell clients only what I think they want to hear - I tell my client the truth in giving them an honest assessment of their case. 

I try to practice law by the Golden Rule (Yes, it can be done): Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.   

I attend church regularly.  I acknowledge that despite by flaws and sinful nature, God's  grace if unending through the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and for anyone who receives Him as their personal Lord and Savior.  John 3:16.
