Biography
Jonathan was born in San Diego County, California, but was raised and has spent the majority of his life in eastern North Carolina. He comes from a military family with his father, Sergeant Major Todd M. Parisi, serving nearly 30 years in the Marine Corps, and his mother, Diana Parisi, as a former Navy Corpsman. Jonathan's upbringing has allowed him to appreciate the benefits of a structured lifestyle and an ambitious and hardworking mentality.
Jonathan graduated from Western Carolina University in May 2016 with a degree in Business Administration and Law. During his time at WCU, Jonathan worked diligently toward his academics, but also understood the importance of getting involved in campus and community organizations. He was an Executive Board member of the university's Student Government Association and of his fraternity, an Accounting tutor, and acted as a Chancellor's Ambassador where he worked closely with WCU's Chancellor to relay student achievements and concerns to alumni, visitors, and major university donors and dignitaries.
In 2018, Jonathan obtained his Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law. While in law school, Jonathan performed his legal residency at Carruthers & Roth, PA where he collaborated with the team of nearly thirty attorneys on cases varying from complex business litigation to estate planning and administration. He participated in Elon Law's Small Business and Entrepreneurship Clinic where he retained low-income clients at no cost and assisted them in forming the companies of their dreams, obtaining trademarks and copyrights to protect their work, and in drafting a variation of client contracts. Jonathan spent the latter portion of his legal education as a law clerk at The Carroll Companies, one of Greensboro's largest real estate development companies, where he worked closely with General Counsel in drafting and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts for the purchase of land, construction of multi-family homes, and the opening of the company's first-ever franchised hotel in downtown Greensboro.
Straight out of law school, Jonathan worked as an Associate Attorney at a small firm in Greensboro, handling estate planning and probate matters. He is now an Attorney at Spangler Estate Planning in downtown Greensboro and is continuing to pursue his passion for estate work. Tomorrow is promised to no one, so he works diligently to ensure his clients have a concrete plan for unexpected life events. He is passionate about helping his clients protect their families by guaranteeing that their wishes are honored in the event of a life emergency. Furthermore, he assists families that are navigating the probate process after they have lost a loved one, and seeks to eliminate the stresses and pressures of estate administration for families during their time of mourning and grief.
In addition to his law degree, Jonathan received his Master of Business Administration degree from Elon University. He enjoys advising his clients to the legal impacts of their decisions, but also believes that analyzing the financial and pecuniary effects is equally important. In his spare time, Jonathan is an avid runner and recently ran the 2020 Boston Marathon.
