Biography

Principal and Founder Julie Simpson has dedicated her professional career to helping others. In 2002, after a successful career in critical care nursing, Ms. Simpson started her legal career. Since 2002, she has represented hundreds of individual and corporate clients, achieving positive results and resolution for those clients through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and jury and bench trials. Ms. Simpson’s reputation for high ethical standards and excellence in practice has earned her the respect of clients, peers and the judiciary.

Ms. Simpson uses her twelve years of litigation expertise, combined with her medical background, to provide excellent representation and service to clients. A critical thinker, never afraid of a challenge, Ms. Simpson has repeatedly met her client’s needs and goals, handling complex matters involving personal injury, contracts, product liability and insurance coverage. Ms. Simpson has diversified her practice to include estates, wills, trusts and residential real estate transactions.

Helping to shape the next generation of legal professionals, Ms. Simpson not only knows the law, but she also teaches the law to graduate and undergraduate students. As an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law, Ms. Simpson taught advanced legal writing and civil litigation drafting. As an adjunct professor at American Public University, Ms. Simpson teaches undergraduate and graduate students on topics including torts, civil procedure, legal writing and evidence.

As a Harley Davidson enthusiast, Ms. Simpson and her husband spend their leisure time traveling to and enjoying motorcycle rallies across the country. Her affiliations include National HOG membership, Rescue Riders and Harley Davidson Museum membership. Ms. Simpson has a keen understanding of the dynamics and impacts of injuries resulting from the many senseless motorcycle accidents that occur each year.

A graduate with high honors from DePaul University College of Law in 2002, Ms. Simpson also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Bradley University and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from University of Illinois-Chicago.

A native of the western suburbs of Chicago, Ms. Simpson remains committed to community involvement through local volunteer efforts and service groups. She and her husband have five adult children and their adopted/rescue German Shepherd Dog.
