• Regularly appear in Virginia Circuit and District Courts for motions or bench trials.
• Represent clients on family law matters including custody, support, equitable distribution, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, and contempt proceedings.
• Resolve as lead attorney dozens of cases a year, through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.
• File pleadings, motions, and briefs on behalf of clients.
• Negotiate and draft complex settlement agreements.
• Manage all aspects of discovery including propounding and responding to Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, Requests for Admission, depositions, and subpoenas duces tecum.
• Lead clients through complex legal, financial, and tax analyses.
• Prepare expert and lay witness testimony, exhibits for use at trial, and case strategy.
• Mentor and assist firm’s new or less experienced attorneys and paralegals as needed.
