Biography
Ms. Moomau is a principal partner with the Family First Law Group. Previously, Ms. Moomau was a partner at Rich Rosenthal Brincefield Manitta Dzubin & Kroeger, PLLC. Ms. Moomau represents clients in the General District Courts, Circuit Courts and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts in the Northern Virginia area.
Ms. Moomau has extensive experience in litigation, family law, estate planning, estate administration and small busines matter. Her litigation experience in in general busines matters, guardianship and conservatorship matters, and family. Ms. Moomau represents family law clients for child custody, visitation and support issues; spousal support; equitable distribution of assets and liabilities; and the negotiation and preparation of marital agreements and property settlement agreements, abuse and neglect proceedings, adoptions and general civil litigation. Ms. Moomau also represents LGBTQ clients in all aspects of family law. Ms. Moomau handles military and Department of State divorces and custody issues, as well.
Ms. Moomau does estate planning including the drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, medical directives, and other documents. She advises clients on estate planning goals and needs. She also assists clients in administering estates and advising on issues with administration of estates.
Ms. Moomau serves on various boards in Alexandria, including as serving as General Counsel for the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to attending law school, Katelin T. Moomau worked for the Maryland Independent College and University Association and Maryland General Assembly. In 2008, she graduated from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and passed the Virginia Bar.
