Kathleen A. Durrans is a shareholder of Aaron, Riechert, Carpol & Riffle, APC, and a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. Ms. Durrans is also a certified mediator and is a member of the San Mateo Probate ADR Program Panel. Ms. Durrans has been practicing in the areas of Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law since 1999. She is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude. She was a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society and University of San Francisco Law Review. In 1998, she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Family Wealth Transfer Taxation.

Ms. Durrans grew up in San Francisco, where she attended Convent of the Sacred Heart High School. She then moved across the country, and earned a B.A. in English Literature from Boston University in 1993. She returned to the Bay Area to attend law school, and currently resides in Belmont with her family.

Ms. Durrans is admitted to practice law in the State of California, and the Northern District of California. She is a member of the San Mateo County Bar Association and served on its board from 2012 through 2021. She served as President of the Association in 2020. She served on the Board of Directors of the Women Lawyers Section of the San Mateo County Bar Association and served as Chair in 2008. Ms. Durrans was named a Super Lawyer by San Francisco Magazine for the years 2012 through 2024.
