Katie Winbauer is licensed to practice in North Dakota state and federal courts. Prior to joining private practice, Katie clerked for the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers of the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Katie currently serves as a board member of the Big Muddy Bar Association and The Gavel.

Katie received her juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Katie was the Outside Articles Editor and Symposium Co-Editor for the North Dakota Law Review, a teaching assistant for Lawyering Skills, and was actively involved in Moot Court and Law Women's Caucus. Katie was inducted into the Order of the Barristers upon graduation.

Katie was raised in Bismarck, ND and attended Bismarck High School. She received an associate of arts degree from Bismarck State College, where she was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper. Katie received her bachelor of science in professional communication from Valley City State University.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Deon Paulson, and their son. Katie also writes monthly columns for the Bismarck Tribune.
