Biography
Kevin Baum is of counsel at Baum & Bailey, P.C.. Kevin focuses his practice on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and comercial litigation. He has represented debtors, secured lenders, indenture trustees and other creditors in transactional and litigation matters concerning bankruptcy and insolvency law. He has also represented various parties in corporate transactions and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Baum & Bailey, P.C., he was an insolvency and restructuring associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Kevin also serves as Adjunct Professor of Law at St. John’s University School of Law, where he teaches Introduction to Bankruptcy Practice: Case Analysis, an intensive legal writing course for members of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. In addition, he is a Coordinating Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal and Editorial Board Member of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s “Volo” Circuit Court Reporter Blog. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the New York County Bar Association, where he serves as a member of the Professional Discipline Committee.

While attending St. John’s, Kevin contributed to two Supreme Court Amicus Briefs in the cases of United Student Aid Funds v. Espinosa and Stern v. Marshall.
