Biography
Kieran A. Lasater is a litigator whose practice focuses on counseling and complex commercial litigation matters including securities and banking law, automobile industry, mortgage industry, construction and surety law, trademark litigation, Internet law, mortgage buy-back and toxic assets litigation, as well as appellate matters before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and Colorado’s appellate courts. Kieran also has litigated issues involving federal class actions, derivative suits and trade secret violations.
Before returning to Colorado from Pennsylvania, Kieran practiced for two years with a large regional law firm. There he focused his practice on complex commercial litigation, employment and labor defense, and construction and surety law.
During law school, Kieran served as law clerk to The Honorable J. Wesley Oler, Jr., of the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He also served as the Executive Editor of the Penn State International Law Review, in which his comment, "A Survey of the Domestic Approaches to Antitrust Taken by the OPEC Member Nations: Do They Practice What They Preach?," was published at 23 Penn St. Int'l L. Rev. 413 (Fall 2004). Kieran received highest honors in Remedies and Corporations. He was also inducted into the Woolsack Honor Society and was the recipient of the Adele and Leonard R. Blumberg Scholarship.
