Biography
I began my career as a Bankruptcy Paralegal in 1996. I worked for several years as a case analyst for the Chapter 12 and 13 Bankruptcy Trustees and, while working and raising a family, I earned my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Davenport University and then went on to graduate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with her Juris Doctorate in May 2007. I have spent the past seven and a half years representing debtors in bankruptcy cases both in the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan. I am a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and is also an Officer and a member of the Board of Directors for the Debtors Bar of West Michigan. I has served as a panelist at the Debtors Bar of West Michigan Winter Seminar and the Federal Bar Association Bankruptcy Seminar.
I am a managing Partner at Apple Street Law Office, P.L.C. out of Hastings, Michigan, where I continue to represent debtors in chapter 7, 12, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. I also assists persons who have been denied Social Security Disability benefits, represent clients in divorce matters, civil actions, estate planning, and defending adults and juveniles charged with criminal offenses.
I am the defense attorney on the steering committee for Barry County District Court Sobriety Court, and I am an active member of the Barry County Bar Association and the Kiwanis Club of Hastings. I love to volunteer teaching fourth grade children to run a mock trial on Law Day and to assist people through Barry County’s Legal Advice Clinic.
