Biography
A native Texan, Ms. Schroeder graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee with her degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Upon returning to her home state, she received a masters in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas prior to attending the University of Houston Law Center where she was an editor of the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy. Ms. Schroeder received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2012 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas later that year. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts of the Southern, Northern, Easter, and Western Districts of Texas and the Fifth District Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining Hendershot Cannon & Hisey, P.C. in 2019, Ms. Schroeder’s practice was primarily focused in business and real estate. She has extensive experience in formation and representation of local non-profits, including assisting Houston area residents in taking control over an abandoned historical cemetery. Presently, Ms. Schroeder focuses on transactional matters and is ready to assist clients in entity formations, employment and independent contractor agreements, licensing agreements, and similar transactions.
Ms. Schroeder is a member of the Houston Bar Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2019.
In her spare time, Ms. Schroeder serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Diaper Assistance Program, a local non-profit she and her fellow law school classmates founded to provide diapers to Houston area children. She enjoys cooking, travelling and is an avid sports fan.
