Biography
Kyle Westaway is Managing Partner at Westaway and a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, where he co-teaches a course on social entrepreneurship.
Westaway is an innovative law firm advising startups, social entrepreneurs and impact investors through each stage in the lifecycle of an organization from concept to acquisition, with the perspective of blending profit and purpose. He specializes in emerging legal structures designed for social enterprise such as the Benefit Corporation, L3C and Flexible Purpose Corporation
He is the author of Profit & Purpose and writes on entrepreneurship, tech, social innovation and emerging markets for The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Time, Quartz, Harvard Business Review, among other publications. Every Saturday morning he sends out the Weekend Briefing - an email on the impact of innovation on society. Kyle serves on the board of the Closed Loop Foundation and is a mentor at Harvard’s I-Lab.
