Attorney Stokes is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and primarily specializes in the areas of family law: including divorce, child support, visitation, custody, and adoption cases, as well as, entertainment law, business law and personal injury. In 2013, Ms. Stokes was the lead attorney on a child support case before the Tennessee Appellate Court that changed the law as it relates to disestablishing paternity of a child. Attorney Stokes is a Memphis native and graduate of Whitehaven High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University College of Arts & Sciences and her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Ms. Stokes was an honoree as an Outstanding Citizen at the 2019 40 Under 40 Memphis Urban Elite Awards and she has named the 2017 Tri-State Defender’s Best Overall Attorney and the 2017 Best Family Law/Divorce Attorney at the Annual Tri-State Defender’s Best in Black Awards. She has also been nominated as “Role Model of the Year” by the Southern Entertainment Awards and the law firm has been nominated for “Industry Service of the Year” by the Southern Entertainment Awards.

Ms. Stokes is a board member of the Memphis Bar Association, Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association, and Shelby County Law Library Board. She is also a board member for the Memphis Music Banq, On-Location Memphis and a member of the Board of Directors for Charis Acres, a retirement home in Memphis.
