Laurie L. Dawley is an Attorney and Senior Vice President at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll. Her work focuses on business law, banking and finance law, real estate law and mergers and acquisitions. She serves on the Firm’s board of directors, is chair of the Firm’s business practice group and immediate past chair of the Firm’s associate/recruiting committee.  Laurie has represented numerous individuals, banks and financial institutions, agricultural and commercial real estate owners and developers, and closely-held businesses and their owners.  She has experience conducting farmland auctions and managing large foreclosure actions involving numerous residential and commercial properties.  Laurie works with local nonprofit corporations to address their various legal needs including helping a local nonprofit obtain its tax exempt status to further its mission of supporting Iowa’s women business owners.

Growing up on a farm in Northeast Iowa and married to a grain and cattle farmer, Laurie is passionate about the importance of agriculture to Iowa’s businesses, economy and overall qualify of life.
