My clients know “good enough” won’t cut it when it comes to their business and private wealth. They require a proactive, tax-focused, and risk-managed approach to ownership, operation, succession, estate, and asset protection planning. The failure to take a comprehensive and technical approach to planning (especially in the complex area of tax law), exposes cracks in the foundation of any plan and ultimately is the source of its demise. The foundation of any business success or personal wealth should never be “good enough”.

MY CAREER. I focus on business law and estate planning, and the tax laws affecting both. My private wealth clients receive comprehensive counsel on wealth preservation, estate planning, tax avoidance and asset protection, while my business clients receive business counsel, including entity structuring for tax and liability protection, business transactions, risk management, mergers, acquisitions, sales, and corporate governance. 

As a CPA, I also have the unique ability to understand my clients’ issues from a financial and tax perspective as well. I began my career with one of the world’s largest public accounting firms, where my foundation in tax law and planning took shape. I regularly publish articles and speak on business, estate, and trust tax issues.

MY LIFE. I am a Libertyville native, and work and live in Libertyville with my wife, Jen, and my two boys – Braden and Gavin. When not at work, I can be seen trying to impersonate a real golfer, playing the classical guitar, and enjoying Lake County’s numerous parks and forest preserves with my family.
