Biography
Leah Hermiller is a talented attorney, veteran leader, and a community activist. Leah has a long-standing passion for volunteering in nursing homes and with organizations, such as the Special Olympics. She served as a Virginia Girls’ State Delegate and was selected by Congressman Thomas Davis III to attend West Point. Leah subsequently attended Wake Forest University School of Law.
Leah's has a proven track record of performance. She worked for the Federal Circuit Bar Association in Washington, D.C. She served in the Wake Forest Child Advocacy Clinic, representing children in high-conflict custody cases and civil domestic violence actions. She served as a law intern for five District Attorneys’ offices to include Wake County and Baltimore City, where she tried cases in district court, domestic violence court, and DWI court. Notably, Leah worked on Maryland’s first five co- defendant murder case.
Leah is a resident of Harnett County where she lives with her husband, Captain Brent Hermiller, currently serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. They attend Hope Community Church in Raleigh. In her free time, Leah runs for charity events, cooks, and spends time with their dog, Rudy and cat, Oliver.
