Biography

Mr. Aubel is a top real estate attorney with a concentration on more complex, high-end deals. His practice focuses of many types of businesses, as well as professionals and entrepreneurs, in a wide variety of real estate transactions.

His diverse clientele includes developers, condominium associations, major non-profit organizations, government agencies, and national and regional bank trust departments. Mr. Aubel has decades of experience in real estate acquisitions, leasing and dispositions, including the development of office towers, shopping centers, condominium units and high-end residences. His commercial leasing work has focused on medical offices and facilities, bars and restaurants, and retail spaces, as well as the licensing of these facilities.

Inclusive in Mr. Aubel’s real estate practice is the drafting and negotiating of limited liability company operating agreements, license and easement agreements, facility sharing arrangements, construction and general contractor agreements, maintenance planning documentation, and property management agreements. He conducts and supervises due diligence, parcel assembly and survey analysis. Mr. Aubel holds licenses as a managing broker and as a title agent.

Mr. Aubel also has a substantial practice in probate matters, serving as counsel to bank trust departments and individuals, whether acting as an executor, guardian, or administrator. He is frequently appointed by the courts as Guardian ad Litem and as defense counsel in complex cases involving the rights of disabled adults. His probate practice has included the representation of estates with substantial real estate portfolios, as well as acting as an executor himself.
