Biography
I am proud to be an Oklahoma lawyer. I am dedicated to my clients and work tirelessly to assure a legal remedy that best suits my client and his/her family.
I am a sole practitioner in Bartlesville, focusing my practice in all areas of law associated with children and family. After having taught public school for almost twenty years, I received a JD from the University of Tulsa College of Law and was admitted to the practice of law in Oklahoma. I am also licensed to practice in the Northern District of Oklahoma and in the state of Texas. I am a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA), Texas Bar Association (TBA), American Bar Association (ABA) and Washington County Bar Association (WCBA).
I am the OBA 2016 President-Elect and will serve as President in 2017. Previously, I served two terms on the OBA Board of Governors, as Vice-President of the OBA, and on the Professional Responsibility Commission. I am OBA Leadership Academy Task Force chairperson, serving since 2007. I am a volunteer attorney for Oklahoma Lawyers for American Heroes, Legal Aid of Oklahoma, and the Washington County District Court. I am a Charter Benefactor Fellow and former Trustee of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation (OBF), a Young Lawyer Division Fellow, an Oklahoma Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the OBA and TBA Family Law Sections. I have served on numerous OBA committees and task forces including the Budget Committee, Legislative Monitoring Committee, Women In Law Committee, Law Day Committee, Access to Justice Committee, and Strategic Planning Task Force. I have been the president, vice-president, secretary-treasurer of the Washington County Bar Association, and continue to be active in the WCBA by serving as chair of a number local bar committees and activities.
I work with the local domestic violence shelter to provide legal representation for all victims of domestic violence who seek protective orders through that organization, am a volunteer attorney for the Washington County District Court in domestic cases, and am a court-approved Guardian Ad Litem, Parenting Coordinator, and a certified family law mediator.
Guardian Ad Litem,I am active in the Bartlesville community having served on the boards of many local organizations, including the Bartlesville Area United Way, Big Brothers and Sisters of Green Country, Bartlesville Family Care Services, and the Run the Streets program, where I served as a youth mentor. I am also a member of the children’s ministries team at the First United Methodist Church.
