Lori K. Smith graduated from Walsh College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2003 and earned her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2008. Ms. Smith practices exclusively in the area of Domestic Relations. Her prior practice experience includes general civil litigation and criminal law matters. Ms. Smith completed the Institute of Continuing Legal Education Family Law Certificate program in 2010 and currently maintains her certification.

She maintains membership with the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Macomb County Bar Association and their respective Family Law sections.

Ms. Smith is the current President of the Macomb County Bar Association, a former president of the Macomb County Bar Foundation, serves as Secretary for the Friend of the Macomb County Veterans Treatment Court, and is the President-Elect of the Women Lawyer’s Association of Michigan- Macomb Chapter. Lori also serves on the Advisory Board for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen's Jefferson House, she assists with the Miss Amazing Michigan Chapter, and coaches for NEAR.
