Biography
Lou Kroeck has always maintained a strong interest in intellectual property, entertainment law and copyright issues. Mr. Kroeck attended college at the Pennsylvania State University where he received his B.S. in Information Science Technology and he attended law school at Case Western Reserve School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio where he received his J.D. with a specialization in technology, law and the arts. In law school Mr. Kroeck served as the president of Case Western's Intellectual Property Law Association and he served as a senior editor for the Case Western Technology and Internet Law Journal
Mr. Kroeck is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District and he serves on the advisory board of the Future Tenant Art Cooperative associated with Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Kroeck is a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts as well as the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association. He was admitted to the 2011-2012 Bar Leadership Institute for the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the 2012-2013 Bar Leadership Institute for the Allegheny County Bar Association. Mr. Kroeck has been a guest lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh on topics such as copyright law, cyberbullying, online privacy and the Stop Online Piracy Act.
