Mackenzie Mayer is a 2015 graduate of Toledo University, College of Law in Toledo, Ohio. After graduation, Mackenzie worked in private practice in Mansfield, Ohio. Her practice was limited to criminal defense, and serving as a guardian ad litem to children who were adjudicated abused, neglected, or dependent in Richland County, Ohio. After working more than 3 years as a criminal defense attorney and guardian ad litem in Mansfield, Ohio, Mackenzie moved to Hudsonville, Michigan. In August 2018, Mackenzie began working as a law clerk for Hills at Law, P.C., and in March 2019, she waived into the State Bar of Michigan and began her work at Hills at Law, P.C., as a criminal defense associate attorney.
