Biography
Ms. Masumi has successfully handled nearly every type of immigration matter for hundreds of clients, including complicated cases relating to naturalization and lawful permanent residence, removal defense, family-based and employment-based cases, asylum, special immigrant juvenile cases, waivers, and petitions for victims of crime and domestic violence. Ms. Masumi has also advocated for her clients in federal district and appeals courts, as well as the appellate courts in the state of Maryland.
Ms. Masumi earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, with a concentration in International Law. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Government and International Relations from George Mason University. She is a member of the Maryland bar, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. She is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association (AILA) and was awarded AILA’s Pro Bono Service Scholarship in 2015. Ms. Masumi is fluent in Farsi and conversational in Spanish.
