Certified Family Law Specialist: I am a Family Law Specialist, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. I have been practicing family law for over 32 years. 

 I handle all aspects of legal separations and dissolutions of marriage or registered domestic partnerships, including:

·         Property settlements

·         Asset and debt division

·         Determination of whether property is separate or community

·         Child custody and visitation

·         Child support

·         Spousal support (alimony)

 I can explain to you the manner in which marital assets and debts are divided upon dissolution. The division of marital property includes the valuation and distribution of community property assets, the characterization of property as community or separate and determining whether one party is entitled to reimbursement for separate property contributions towards community property and debts. I will advise you as to your rights pertaining to these issues. 

 I can represent you at any stage of a custody or visitation dispute, from the initial filing of the petition to post-judgment requests for a change in custody and visitation. I handle all matters related child custody and visitation.  

 Child and/or spousal support issues often arise in family law matters and I can provide you with information regarding your rights and obligations in these areas.

I also mediate cases and can assist you in reaching an agreement on all issues in your case.  I will prepare all of the documents necessary to finalize your case.

       I am a 1990 graduate of the Santa Clara University School of Law and I have practiced family law since 1992.  I have been certified by the State Bar of California as a Legal Specialist in Family Law.  This required me to pass a test concerning family law, take a high level of family law continuing education classes and obtain recommendations from my peers.

       I volunteer as an attorney mediator at Settlement Officer Conferences in Santa Clara County Superior Court. I have experience handling complex family law cases and will be an advocate in court if a trial or contested hearing is necessary. I have also assisted many clients in settling their cases without the necessity of a contested hearing or trial.
