Prior to joining Porter Law Group, Marla worked as a civil litigator in Syracuse, New York, focusing on personal injury and medical malpractice actions. In her prior employment, she conducted all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, court proceedings, and appeals.

She received her Bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in Psychology from Syracuse University in 2013, and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2016. Marla has been admitted to practice law in New York State, as well as the Northern and Western Districts of the United States District Court. She is a member of the Central New York Women's Bar Association.
