Mary Ellen's journey started with a BS from SUNY Albany and an MS from the College of Mount St. Vincent. She began her career teaching K-2, where she saw many students with learning disabilities struggle to get the services they needed. This inspired her to earn a law degree from CUNY School of Law to advocate for children with special needs. However, her focus shifted to workers’ compensation law, where she found her true calling in assisting injured and disabled workers navigate the legal system.

Mary Ellen’s dedication to workers' rights is deeply personal. While in law school, her husband suffered a severe on-the-job injury, leaving their family without income for six months. This firsthand experience with the workers’ compensation system fuels her commitment to her clients. She understands the anxiety and uncertainty they face and strives to provide clear support from the first consultation.

Before founding her practice in 2009, Mary Ellen trained new attorneys and lectured extensively. She is well-regarded for her expertise in workers’ compensation law and her dedication to her clients.
