Attorney Matthew A. Glassman was born in Queens, New York and raised on Long Island and Miami, Florida. He earned a B.A. degree in English Literature from the University of Florida and a J.D. (Doctor of Jurisprudence) at Southwest University School of Law in Los Angeles, California. In 1984, he returned to the New York Metro area where he worked as a litigator primarily focused on asbestos litigation in law firms in Northern New Jersey. In 1988, he opened his practice in Port Jefferson, NY to serve the needs of injured people on Long Island and Suffolk County, NY. He also also practices in Nassau County, Queens County and the general NYC area. He is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, and New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Glassman resides in Stony Brook, NY. His interests beyond the law include playing bass and guitar in a rock band, reading, Words with Friends, tennis, wine, and spending time with his family and dachshund.
