Matt joined SKH in August of 2019 as a new Law school graduate. During his summers in law school, he clerked for criminal defense attorneys Steven Houze and Jacob Houze in Portland, Oregon.

Matt was born and raised in Portland. He moved to Seattle, Washington to attend the University of Washington School of Law on an academic scholarship. At the University of Washington, Matt volunteered for the Child and Youth Advocacy Clinic, where he worked with children in the dependency system throughout the State of Washington, as well as homeless youth in Seattle’s University District. Prior to law school, Matt graduated from the University of Oregon where he received a B.S. in Political Science. Before attending law school, Matt worked for Pacific Continental Bank and Capital Pacific Bank in Portland.
