Attorney Matthew T. Bennett III is an associate in the Criminal Law Department at Larkin Ingrassia, PLLC, in Kingston, NY. Since joining the firm in September 2023, he has focused his practice on criminal defense, DWI/DUI defense, and traffic ticket defense. With a robust background in criminal law, Attorney Bennett is known for his dedication to providing effective, strategic defense to clients throughout the Hudson Valley region.

Prior to joining Larkin Ingrassia, PLCC, Attorney Bennett served as an Assistant District Attorney in Sullivan and Orange Counties for over four years, where he gained invaluable trial experience. He has successfully tried various cases, including attempted murder, narcotics possession, and driving while intoxicated (DWI). His experience in the courtroom, along with his understanding of both prosecution and defense strategies, allows him to craft strong defense cases tailored to the needs of each client.

Attorney Bennett earned his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island, after completing his undergraduate studies at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Arizona (inactive).

In addition to his legal practice, Attorney Bennett is an active member of several professional organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National College of DUI Defense.
