Matt is a Board Certified Criminal Trial Attorney.  He  was born and raised outside of Chicago, IL. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received Bachelor Degrees in both Economics and Philosophy. Matt then attended the University of Miami School of Law where he maintained a Dean’s Merit Scholarship for all three years.

Matt has spent his entire professional career in Sarasota practicing Criminal Law, where he:

• Is Board Certified In Criminal Law - Trial
• Treasurer of the Sarasota Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers

• Spent over five years as a Prosecutor here in Sarasota before opening his Criminal Defense Practice.
• Admitted to practice in State Court as well as Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida.

• Has prosecuted over one thousand cases in Sarasota, including hundreds of DUI and Drug Charges.
• Tried over 40 cases to jury, this including over 15 DUI Trials, 20 Felony Trials, as well as Trials of DUI Manslaughter and Second Degree Murder.
