Biography
Matthew is a partner at Key Law Office. His primary practice area is family law.
Matthew has been practicing family law since 2006 and has extensive experience in complex property disputes, child custody matters involving grandparent or third-party standing, and appellate work. He has successfully represented clients in all stages of litigation, from case inception through mediation and appeal—a service the Key Law Office is proud to offer its clients.
A graduate of Texas A&M University and St. Mary’s University School of Law, Matthew is a Fellow of the Texas Bar College and has earned recognition as both a Rising Star and a Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine for seven consecutive years. He has also maintained an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 2018. Matthew has served in leadership roles with the State Bar of Texas, including on the Administration of Rules of Evidence Committee and as Chair of Investigatory Panel 15-4 for the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee. He currently serves on the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors and plans to continue his work with the Family Law Section in the future.
Matthew is also a trained mediator, holding credentials from the Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution at the University of Texas School of Law and the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center at the University of Houston Law Center.
