Matthew Lopez was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Arizona State University and received his undergraduate degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business. Matthew graduated at the top of his class and was recruited to work for a Fortune 500 Company.

While in law school, Matthew was a Staff Editor of the Phoenix Law Review Journal and was a board member of the Hispanic Law Students Association. As a member of the Phoenix Law Review Journal, Matthew authored an award winning publication regarding the environmental effects of globalization.

Matthew has worked for a well respected Maricopa County Superior Court judge, the City of Scottsdale Attorney's Office in its real property and civil litigation department and for a highly regarded civil litigation firm.

Matthew is well respected within the legal community and collaborates, on a frequent basis, with several other highly respected attorneys.  As a member of the Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice, Matthew is consistently honing his legal knowledge and skills, in an effort to provide his clients with the best possible legal representation.
