Maureen is a founding partner at Brick, Jones, McBrien & Hickey LLP - a divorce and family law firm in Newton, Massachusetts.  She has been practicing family law in Massachusetts for over seventeen years.  Maureen regularly appears in court, has tried many cases, and has been involved in numerous family law appeals.  Maureen's practice also involves litigating, mediating and / or acting as a consultant on family law related issues that arise from the use of assisted reproductive technology. 

Maureen's approach to cases, clients and opposing counsel is practical and reasonable even in the most difficult of circumstances.  Yet in recognition of the fact that some cases are difficult to move or settle without court intervention, in consultation with the client, she simultaneously prepares a case for litigation in the event the case warrants that approach.  Her goal is for clients is to effectuate the best result under the circumstances in the most efficient manner.  The team at the firm, which includes seven attorneys and five paralegals who exclusively practice family law, enables Maureen to provide top-notch services and equitable results for clients.
