Biography
Megan found her passion for family law while practicing in Colorado before returning to the Pacific Northwest. She is a compassionate advocate for her clients and focuses her practice on all family law issues, where she strives for favorable outcomes for families and their futures. Megan prides herself on her communication skills and her ability to set realistic expectations for clients from the onset of a case. She believes family law is about achieving a balance between the human perspective and the law, while ensuring clients are well-informed about the process. Megan has successfully handled all aspects of family law cases, including uncontested/amicable dissolutions, mediation and arbitration, and litigation.
As a military spouse, Megan has developed skills in helping military families navigate all aspects of divorce and family law issues. Not only does Megan speak the lingo, but she has a breadth of experience in addressing military divorce issues, military custody issues, and military retirements.
Megan grew up in Texas, graduating from Texas A&M University with her undergraduate degree. After falling in love with the Pacific Northwest, Megan attended law school at Seattle University School of Law, graduating in 2015. While in law school, Megan interned for two Washington State Supreme Court justices, interned at the Washington Attorney General’s Office, and was an editor and published author on the Seattle University Law Review. After graduation from law school, Megan practiced in Colorado until 2019, when she and her family returned to Washington.
Megan is active in the local Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association and the TPCBA Family Law Section. She is currently serving as a Trustee on the Family Law Section Board.
