Attorney Melissa Harrison is a native of Pontotoc County Mississippi. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she finished her undergraduate degree as magna cum laude in Bachelor of Business Administration. She attended the University of Alabama School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate with magna cum laude honors.

Ms. Harrison is the managing attorney and founder of the Harrison Law Office, PLLC of Ripley, MS. She focuses primarily on tax resolution/litigation, collections, social security disability, and general federal litigation. Ms. Harrison has a wide background in various and diverse areas of federal and state law. She is also licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court.                                                                  

Ms. Harrison is active in a number of local organizations such as the Ripley Rotary Club, where she is a current member and former President.
