Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Melissa Duncan attended ElonUniversity, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree inPsychology.  Melissa graduated from Elon University with cum laudehonors, and continued her Elon education at Elon University School ofLaw in Greensboro, North Carolina.  During her time at Elon Law,Melissa participated in several student organizations and served as anAdmissions Ambassador.  Melissa is currently serving as the Presidentof the Elon Law Alumni Association.

After passing the NorthCarolina Bar Exam, Melissa and her husband, Damon, opened a Greensborooffice of the family law firm, Duncan Law.  Melissa's father-in-law,Terry Duncan, works in the Charlotte office of Duncan Law.

Melissapractices primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy (debtor - Chapter 7 andChapter 13), simple Wills and Estate Planning (living wills and powersof attorney), Worker's Compensation, Medical Malpractice, Nursing HomeAbuse, and Serious Injuries.
