Biography

Melissa Michel is a bright, problem solving litigator. Melissa’s experience ranges from years as a Public Defender, an Administrative Hearing Officer for the Department of Labor, and as an Associate in private practice at the Law Office of Raymond B. Lail.

Melissa prides herself on the personalized service she provides to every client. By taking a very hands-on approach to every case, she is able to gain a much better understanding of the legal issues you are facing and the possible solutions available to you. She doesn't dictate how you should approach your case. She works with you to understand your goals and partners with you to find the best way to reach them.

Melissa has represented clients in well over a thousand felony cases ranging from petty thefts to serious violent felonies. Melissa also handles civil litigation matters.

Melissa is admitted to the Bar in the State of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Georgia Supreme Court. Melissa is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Northern District of Georgia. Melissa is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL), Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), and the Gate City Bar.
