I'm a 2003 graduate of Penn State University, University Park, and moved to Pittsburgh in 2004 after receiving a full academic scholarship to attend Duquesne University School of Law.  While studying for my law degree, I worked for a personal injury firm and was heavily involved in the University's nationally renowned trial advocacy program.  As a result of my efforts, I was admitted to the Order of Barristers and awarded the Katie Elizabeth Westbrook Award for Outstanding Achievement in Trial Advocacy, an award only given to one student per year.

After obtaining my J.D. in 2007, I briefly worked for a large civil defense firm before pursuing my true passion of representing criminal defendants as an Allegheny County Assistant Public Defender.  Working in the Office of the Public Defender allowed me to immediately begin to hone my skills as a trial attorney, trying my first jurty trial in 2008, earning my wrongfully accused client a full acquittal.

Having represented hundreds of clients and trying many jury and non-jury trials as an Assistant Public Defender, I went into private practice in 2010, where I continued to represent and defend the rights of the criminally accused.  I have successfully represented clients at all stages of criminal prosecution in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  From minor driving offenses to the most serious of crimes, criminal homicide, I have fought for the rights of my clients with unwavering conviction.
