Biography
Michael H. Feldman is the partner at Berman, Sobin, Gross, Feldman & Darby LLP who directs the firm's complex litigation. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from AmericanUniversity in 1971, and his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University School of Law in 1974. He was then admitted to the Bars of the District of Columbia and Maryland.

In 1998, Michael was elected to the prestigious position of President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. He has been given Martindale Hubble’s highest rating (AV).
Who’s Who in American LawOutstanding Young Men of AmericaMr. Feldman began his legal career as an attorney for the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. While there, he received the Director’s Award for his establishment of the judicial procedures necessary for the implementation of the United States Prisoner Exchange Treaty in Mexico. This procedure was used as a model for prisoner exchange treaties that have since been enacted between the United States and numerous other countries throughout the world. Following this, Mr. Feldman became a senior Partner at Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP, until leaving to join Berman, Sobin,Gross, Feldman & Darby LLP as a Partner.
For more than 30 years, Mr. Feldman has focused on personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, construction and other serious injury litigation. He was in the forefront of transfusion-associated AIDS litigation, and one of his trials was featured in the book Bad Blood: Crisis in the American Red Cross, by Judith Reitman. He has given numerous presentations and speeches at national conventions of the American Assoc. for Justice (formerly the Assoc. of Trial Lawyers of America), as well as frequently participating as a speaker at seminars locally. He has also written articles for the Assoc. of Trial Lawyers of America and other publications both nationally and locally (including “Winning Strategies for Deposing the Adverse Expert” in ATLA’s January 2000 Trial Magazine).
Bad Blood: Crisis in the American Red CrossMr. Feldman has obtained numerous seven figure verdicts and settlements. Recently, he received a jury verdict of over $1.1 million for a woman involved in a minor impact auto accident, and even more recently received what was then, the largest verdict in the history of Allegany Co., Maryland. He was also one of the lead counsel for the Plaintiffs in the litigation surrounding the METRO crash that left nine persons dead.
