Biography
Michael J. Rossiter specializes in employment litigation (management side) with a subspeciality in government liability. He has represented both large and small companies in various employment matters, including matters arising under California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Mr. Rossiter earned his B.A. (cum laude) in political science from Brigham Young University and received his law degree from Chapman University School of Law. Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Rossiter worked for the Attorney General's Office in Washington, D.C. and then during law school externed for the Honorable George P. Schiavelli of the United States District Court - Central District of California. He was also the symposium editor of the Chapman Law Review where he was integral in bringing together scholars, practitioners, and executives in order to discuss First Amendment issues affecting the entertainment industry.
Mr. Rossiter is a member of the California bar and recently passed the Utah State Bar Exam, making him eligible to practice law in 23 states, including Washington, D.C. and New York. He is also an adjunct professor at Chapman University School of Law and volunteers as a mock trial coach for Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
