My partner, Rick Hull and I started our firm in 1990.  Each of us spent the first several years of our legal careers working for the "dark side", i.e.  insurance companies.  I must admit some gratitude for the experience as it proved an excellent training ground as a trial lawyer.

However, there was no passion or purpose to the work.  You never felt as if you were doing "good".   It was time to switch sides! 

Representing injured and disabled persons has been a great privilege.  The strenghth and determination of my clients to overcome their hardships serves as source of inspiration in my work.   Unlike the image created by the insurance companies, no one is looking to get rich from their injury.  They are just looking for help to get past a difficult time, help with medical bills, missed work, and their impairment.  Everyone would gladly exchange the money for a chance to turn back time and undo the accident.
