Michelle Lago is is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law and one of the founding members of DiPisa & Lago, LLC. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court of New Jersey. In addition, Ms, Lago is authorized to practice immigration law throughout the United States. Following law school, Ms. Lago served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable James G. Troiano, J.S.C., in the Family Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Essex County. Prior to joining DiPisa & Lago, LLC, Ms. Lago was the sole proprietor of Michelle Lago, LLC, a firm specializing in immigration and family matters.

Ms. Lago is the daughter of immigrant parents and has always been committed to protecting and serving the needs of immigrants in the United States. She regularly appears before the Executive Board for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Her practice includes defending clients against deportation and removal, family and employment based petitions, adjustment of status, petitions under the Violence Against Women’s Act, U Visa applications, and a wide range of non-immigrant visas.

Additionally, Ms. Lago is an active member of her community. She frequently gives immigration based seminars, or “charlas”, at community based and religious organizations. Ms. Lago is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the New Jersey Bar Association.
