I have been board certified in criminal trial law by the Florida Bar since 1999. I have conducted over 150 criminal jury trials to verdict in State and Federal Courts. I specialize in the represention of the criminally accused. I was elected to the office of secretary of FACDL in 2017 and will ascend to the office of president in 2020. I served as editor of The Florida Defender magazine a publication for criminal defense lawyers. I chaired the FACDL annual Blood Breath & Tears DUI seminar for 7 years and have served on the faculty of the Gerald Bennett annual advanced trial practice criminal law seminar,and other criminal law seminars. I have been published over 25 times in books and magazine articles concerning criminal law matters. I am a frequent lecturer at criminal defense seminars involving Federal law, Guns and DUI. I teach other lawyers how to defend criminal cases. I am a regular legal analyst in local, state and national media.
