Biography
Mitch May is a family law and civil litigation attorney with an active real estate practice. An experienced Family Court attorney, he provides clients with zealous representation in areas of divorce, custody, child support, property division, alimony, and Protection From Abuse (PFA) proceedings. Mitch maintains an active real estate practice providing experienced representation for clients purchasing and refinancing their homes or commercial properties throughout the state. Mitch also maintains a general law practice including the areas of wills, trusts and estates, land use, and bankruptcy.
Admitted to the bar in Delaware and Virginina in 2002, Mitch earned his bachelor's degree from The George Washington University. While at George Washington, Mitch played varsity baseball and interned with the United States Secret Service. Mitch received his Juris Doctorate from The Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Prior to founding of his law firm, Mitch was an associate at the Dover law firm of Street & Ellis. Mitch is also a former law clerk to the Court of Common Pleas in Kent and Sussex Counties. Mitch was previously apppinted by the Delaware Family Court to serve as the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) from 2003 to 2006.
Mtich resides in Kent County, Delaware with his wife and four children. He is active in Holy Cross Church. Mitch is currently a vice-president of the Delaware State Bar Association and was president of the Kent County Bar Assoication for the 2012-13 term. He is member of the Delaware State Bar Association, Kent County Bar Association and American Bar Association.
