Neal is a native Houstonian. He graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where he studied writing. After graduating from University of Texas School of Law in Austin, he worked for over a decade with legendary criminal lawyer Dick DeGuerin. Neal is married and has two young children.
