Biography

I’m a trial lawyer representing business clients (companies and individuals) in their most crucial business and commercial disputes, whether they be civil disputes or criminal matters. I approach and treat every matter as if it were going to trial before a judge, jury, or panel of arbitrators, which puts my clients in the best position for trial or a favorable settlement.

EXPERIENCED TRIAL LAWYER

As of May 2015, I have already won two trials in Dallas County. In April 2015, I won trial for a corporate plaintiff in the financial industry in a significant contractual defense and indemnification case. In May 2015, I helped win a defense verdict in a breach-of-contract and fraud case and helped obtain a winning verdict on a wiretapping counterclaim for a corporate defendant in the healthcare industry. In 2014, I went to trial three times, helped a client obtain a significant temporary injunction in a bet-the-company case, and won summary judgment in federal court on behalf of a corporate plaintiff on its claim and on the counterclaims and defenses of its adversary.

EXPERIENCE WITH MANY INDUSTRIES

I represent clients engaged in a variety of industries, with a focus on the healthcare, energy, and financial sectors. Examples include national hospital chains, major exploration and production companies and independent oil and gas companies, and major international banks to local Dallas-based banks.

DEVOTED TO THE COMMUNITY

Outside of the courtroom, I hold leadership positions with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the St. Thomas More Society, and the Knights of Columbus. In 2012 and 2013, I coached intermural moot court teams for SMU's Dedman School of Law. I was honored to be an Associate in the Hon. Patrick E. Higginbotham Inn of Court. In every year of my practice, I have devoted at least 100 hours to pro bono causes. Most importantly, I am a proud husband and the father of three young daughters.
